We are proud to share that Dr. Moez Limayem has been named the sole finalist for President of the University of South Florida (USF) — a recognition that reflects his strong record of leadership, student-focused vision, and dedication to academic growth.
Dr. Limayem is an authority in the field of education and business. During his illustrious career, he has developed a reputation of applying pragmatic understanding, creativity and compassion to each leadership position he has taken.
Dr. Limayem spent a decade as the Dean of Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida before being put in the running to be the USF President. He served as a college president and was instrumental in elevating the national image of the college, forging close relationships with the business world and developing programs that helped students succeed in life after college.
He later joined the University of North Florida (UNF), where he welcomed the university’s largest incoming class and record enrollment. Under his leadership, UNF achieved its highest first-year student retention rate in history, a milestone that reflects his consistent focus on student success and academic excellence.
Dr. Limayem has based his leadership approach on the establishment of an environment in which students, faculty, and community partners can all prosper. He considers education to be open doors not only to education but to opportunity, to work, and to self-discovery.
He is said to be forward looking, approachable and highly committed towards assisting colleagues and students to achieve their goals. His networking skills have empowered all the organizations he has headed.
It is a credit to the long-serving contribution of higher education that Dr. Limayem was named as the finalist in the post of President of the University of South Florida. His history of success shows what a powerful leadership approach can accomplish, encourage positive change, and empower a new generation of learners and educators.
