Dr. Akanksha Tyagi receives the INAE Young Engineer Award 2026 for her contributions to civil engineering research, structural engineering, innovation and infrastructure.
A Recognized Distinction in an emerging area of Engineering Talent
Dr. Akanksha Tyagi assistant professor in the department of Civil Engineering at IIT Roorkee has recently been selected for the INAE Young Engineer award 2026 for her work in research of Civil Engineering. The award is given by Indian National Academy of Engineering to discover and support the contribution of young engineers in engineering research, design, technology, development and other associated areas.
Dr. Tyagi is one of the 30 engineers selected for the 2026 INAE Young Engineer Award. She is listed under Engineering Section I – Civil Engineering, alongside other distinguished young researchers in the field.

The Honour of Dr. Tyagi underlines the increasing importance of imaginative research in civil and structural engineering.
