From April 5–8, 2025, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) hosted its Annual Conference, now branded as "Higher Learning," in Chicago, Illinois. This premier event brought together higher education professionals to explore innovative strategies and best practices in accreditation and institutional improvement.
The conference featured a keynote address by David Allison, a human values expert and founder of the Valuegraphics Project, who discussed data-informed approaches to fostering understanding within campus communities. Additionally, a fireside chat with Amelia Parnell, President and CEO of NASPA, and Charles L. Welch, President and CEO of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, focused on strategies to enhance teaching, learning, and student success.
