From April 3–6, 2025, the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) convened its Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting (ACAM) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Under the theme "Business Education in a Changing Landscape," the event brought together academic leaders, accreditation professionals, and business educators from around the world to explore the evolving dynamics of business education.

Key Highlights from ACAM 2025

Inspiring Keynote and Strategic Discussions

The conference commenced with the Annual Assembly Meeting, where members voted on the election slate for both the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors. Dr. Sharon Beaudry was recognized for her service as Chair of the Board of Commissioners from 2023–2025. Following the meeting, Dr. Andrew Shean, Chief Learning Officer of Penn Foster Group, delivered a thought-provoking keynote address, emphasizing the need for innovation and adaptability in business education.

Engaging Sessions and Networking Opportunities

Over the course of the conference, attendees participated in a variety of sessions, including:

Spring 2025 Accreditation Institute: Enhancing Accreditation Readiness

On April 6, 2025, the IACBE hosted its Spring Accreditation Institute, a comprehensive workshop designed for academic business unit leaders and accreditation coordinators. The institute covered essential topics such as

  • Writing Intended Student Learning Outcomes
  • Developing Comprehensive Outcomes Assessment Plans
  • Preparing Effective Self-Studies
  • Preparing for Site Visits
  • Complying with IACBE Reporting Requirements
Finding Freedom in Simplicity

Attendance at the Accreditation Institute is a prerequisite for institutions seeking Candidacy, First-Time, or Reaffirmation of Accreditation with the IACBE.
